In early 2012 Frederick visited Denmark, Western Australia with his family and this wonderful visit lead to the Kirby’s making a huge life change and relocating their family and business …
April of 2013 saw Frederick and Jacqueline make the big move to Denmark and announce the opening of Kirby’s at Rickety Gate Cooking School. Fine Dining Restaurant and Wedding Venue located at Rickety Gate Estate, Denmark.
August 2017 saw the closing of Kirby’s restaurant and change in direction towards ‘Premium Wedding & Events Catering’ across the Great Southern which allowed further flexibility to focus on the needs of Hamish, our beautiful autistic, non-verbal son.
Fast forward to 2024 after a few years of searching for the most perfect venue in The Great Southern to once again offer cooking classes and dining experiences, Kirby’s Atelier de Cuisine has opened in Albany, WA.
